Description – From the likes of Indira Gandhi, Bachendri Pal, Malala Yosafzai, Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle, and Kamala Harris, to Greta Thunberg, over the years, women from all walks have recurrently proved that they are a force to be reckoned with. They represent Yin, and along with Yang, establish balance and harmony. March 8th celebrates and honors the love and contributions of women in our lives. Abhinandan eagerly thanked and congratulated remarkable women for their diverse achievements. All of these beauties with brains came together to share some moments of fun and light-heartedness.
We felt privileged to share Abhinandan’s work with all our amazing guests. The event featured stalls selling gift hampers and products made by NGO beneficiaries. Several amazing games and food dishes were like a cherry on the cake. Toward the end of the event, all guests were given sponsored gifts.
This year, Abhinandan hopes all women can pursue their goals freely, without prejudice.

Campaign – Menstrual Camp For Sex Workers At Garstin Bastion Road, New Delhi
Event Details – June, 2021
Event Beneficiaries – 180
The Garstin Bastion Road, New Delhi, notoriously recognized as G.B. road is home to thousands of sex workers. The cramped two- or three-story buildings in this area feel like a prison to them. Each sex worker battles her circumstances to create a better future for her children. Sex workers often face stigma and rejection from society, limiting their acceptance and rights. Cultural taboos create negative perceptions of menstruation among women. Limited awareness and socio-economic conditions may lead workers to ignore menstrual needs. Workers face a serious lack of money and can’t afford sanitary pads.
Considering this scenario, Abhinandan organized a menstrual camp for 120 women and 50 young girls at G.B. Road in June 2021. Women of various ages were educated on managing menstruation with dignity. A gynecologist advised using sanitary napkins and reusable menstrual products for better health and hygiene. Workers learned about safe menstrual product usage and proper waste disposal practices. At the end, beneficiaries received sanitary napkins and refreshments.
