How My Abhinandan Works

My Abhinandan was founded in 2011 by a group of young professionals, with Manisha Bhatia being one of them, who wanted to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children in India. The NGO operates on the principle of ‘learning by doing,’ which means that the children are engaged in practical and hands-on activities that enhance their creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Some of the activities that My Abhinandan organizes for the children include:

• Art and craft workshops, where the children learn to express themselves through painting, drawing, sculpting, and other forms of art.
• Science and technology workshops, where the children learn about basic concepts of science, engineering, and robotics, and apply them to create innovative projects and models.
• Sports and fitness workshops, where the children learn about the importance of physical activity, nutrition, and hygiene, and participate in various games and exercises.
• Cultural and social workshops, where the children learn about the diversity and richness of Indian culture, history, and heritage, and interact with people from different backgrounds and communities.

My Abhinandan also provides the children with academic support, such as tutoring, mentoring, and career guidance, to help them excel in their studies and pursue their aspirations. Additionally, My Abhinandan conducts awareness campaigns and advocacy programs on various issues that affect the children and their families, such as child rights, child abuse, child labor, gender equality, environmental protection, and health and sanitation.
